Ann and Dan Trudel, owner’s of Ann’s Raspberry Farm and Specialty Crops, in Fredericktown, were recognized yesterday on the floor of the Ohio House of Representatives by Representative Margaret Ann Ruhl with a Resolution honoring the business for receiving two 2012 Good Food Awards.
Ann’s Raspberry Farm and Specialty Crops won first place for its entries of Savory Brussels Sprout Relish and Red Raspberry Gourmet Jam at this year’s Good Food Awards Competition. The business specializes in gourmet jam, jelly, relish, and mustard made from freshly harvested products and is dedicated to the highest ideals of organic farming practices.
“It is my pleasure to honor Ann’s Raspberry Farm and Specialty Crops with this Resolution for its accomplishments,” Ruhl said. “Ohio’s economic prosperity depends on businesses such as Ann’s Raspberry Farm and Specialty Crops to provide goods and services to the citizens of our state and nation. It is through unceasing efforts of individuals such as Dan and Ann Trudel, who are willing to invest in their communities, that our state has remained prosperous.”
Dan and Ann plan to continue their future in small-scale farming, organic practices and providing an environment for families to come and enjoy a summer afternoon picking fresh red raspberries.
