State Representative Cheryl Grossman (R-Grove City) recently was awarded the “Legislator of the Year” award by the Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging.

Rep. Grossman received the award because she has worked closely with the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging and was instrumental in organizing a discussion on the role of Area Agencies on Aging in Ohio’s Dual Eligible Demonstration.

“During these changing and challenging times in Ohio, it is important that we collaborate and communicate regarding our seniors,” Rep. Grossman said. “I am honored to receive this award and am grateful to all who advocate for our seniors.”

The Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging is a nonprofit organization with a statewide network of agencies that provide services for the elderly, as well as advocate on behalf of older Ohioans.

The award presentation was held during the association’s Closing Luncheon Plenary Session on October 30th.
