State Representative Rex Damschroder (R-Fremont) was appointed today to the Ohio Turnpike Legislative Review Committee by Speaker of the House William G. Batchelder.

“I am honored to be appointed to this very important committee today,” Damschroder stated. “One of the major issues facing the General Assembly soon is the future of the Ohio Turnpike. With the Governor’s upcoming study of Turnpike options expected to be released shortly, it is critical to have legislators along the Turnpike route participating in this important process.”

Damschroder currently serves as Chairman of the House Transportation, Public Safety, and Homeland Security Committee.

“As Chairman of the Transportation committee, I look forward to this additional responsibility on this vital issue facing Northwest Ohio,” Damschroder continued.

The Ohio Turnpike Legislative Review Committee is comprised of three members of the Ohio House of Representatives and three members of the Ohio Senate.
