State Representative Cheryl Grossman (R-Grove City) was recently named a 2012 Legislator of the Year by the Public Children Services Association of Ohio (PCSAO).

Rep. Grossman was selected based on her leadership and work on issues that effect children and families, specifically her work on Kinship Care and House Bill 279. The award presentation will be held in Columbus in October.

“The welfare and safety of children is a major priority for me,” said Rep. Grossman. “We must be diligent in continually reviewing and evaluating legislation and how we can best serve the needs of all children across Ohio. I am honored to receive this recognition.”

Founded in 1980, PCSAO is a non-profit association of the county public children services agencies charged with child protection throughout Ohio. It promotes the development of sound public policy and program excellence for safe children, stable families, and supportive communities.
