State Representative Richard Adams (R-Troy) today announced that the State Controlling Board has approved the release of $2.35 million to West Troy Tool and Machine, Inc., a filtration manufacturer of tooling, components and mechanical assemblies in Troy, Ohio.

“This arrangement between the State of Ohio and West Troy represents the kind of relationship that is great for the people wanting to keep their jobs, the persons wanting to obtain jobs and the taxpayers of our state,” Rep. Adams said.

The funding will be used to purchase new equipment and to meet other demands for expansion, including adding 35 new jobs. The company has also committed $500,000 in private investments toward the project.

“We’re grateful to Rep. Dick Adams for his assistance and to JobsOhio for partnering with us to grow our business in Troy, Ohio,” West Troy owner and CEO Warren Davidson said. “I’m proud to say that our state government did a great job of providing the right support so that our company can continue growing in our community.”

“This initiative is allowing us to hire more people, and we can now look forward to continued growth with help from the Ohio Enterprise Bond Fund,” West Troy President Jeff Hunter said.

The loan was made available through the Ohio Enterprise Bond Fund and was approved earlier this year by the Ohio Development Financing Advisory.
