State Representative Andy Thompson (R-Marietta) extends his congratulations to recipients from the 93rd House District who have been awarded grants from the Ohio Arts Council.
The Ohio Arts Council announced last month that they will be awarding $7.8 million in grants to support arts organizations, arts programs, and artists across Ohio. Nearly $30,000 in grant awards will be headed to six arts organizations throughout the 93rd House district. These grant recipients include ARTSBRIDGE Inc. and Hippodrome Colony Historical Theater Association, located in Marietta; Muskingum University Summer High School Music Theater Camp, Southeastern Ohio Symphony Orchestra., and Muskingum Valley Symphonic Winds, located in New Concord; and Noble County Historical Society Inc., located in Caldwell.
“The grant money being funneled into the arts programs throughout the district is great news for our communities,” said Representative Thompson. “It is truly an honor for these exceptional arts organizations in southeastern Ohio to be recognized and awarded for their continued commitment to supporting and promoting the arts. I am honored to offer my congratulations to these fine arts organization in light of such a prestigious achievement.”
The Ohio Arts Council is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically.
