Representative Hayes (R-Harrison Twp.) recently joined a young constituent at the Tri-County Career Center in Nelsonville. The constituent, Victoria Peters, invited Representative Hayes to come observe several presentations that her class had been working on with subject matter ranging from drunk driving and illegal drugs to bullying in schools and human trafficking.
“It was great to watch the young men and women present their work to the group,” Hayes said. “They not only gained a lot of knowledge about the subject matter of their project, but they also learned a lot about creating and explaining a website to other.”
After the presentation, Representative Hayes joined the students in a discussion of their presentations—giving insight into what the General Assembly has been doing to address some of these issues.
