Speaker of the Ohio House William G. Batchelder (R-Medina) today announced that Matt Lynch (R-Bainbridge Township) has been appointed by the House Republican Caucus to the vacant 98th House District seat.

“Matt Lynch is a great addition to our caucus and to the House,” Speaker Batchelder said. “He has a proven track record at the local level of cutting taxes and limiting government spending. Lynch’s vision will certainly be an asset in the House as we continue our mission to make government more efficient and restore fairness to Ohio taxpayers.”

In 2007, Lynch was elected to the Bainbridge Township Board of Trustees, unseating a 14-year incumbent, and was appointed Chairman during his first term. He has practiced law for more than 30 years with his family law firm in Bainbridge Township.

Matt and his wife, Laura, have five daughters and seven grandchildren.
