Rep. Anielski Presents Commendation to Fortuna Family

State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Independence) recently presented a House commendation to the Fortuna family for being named Persons of the Year by the East 80th Slovenian National Home. The commendation was under the sponsorship of both Representative Anielski and Representative Kenny Yuko (D-Richmond Heights).

Rep. Anielski presented the commendation to the Fortuna family at the Fortuna Funeral Home, located in Independence. The family was being honored for its tremendous support of the business, cultural, and social activities of the local Slovenian community.

“The Fortuna family has demonstrated exemplary dedication and energy to strengthening Slovenian pride,” Rep Anielski said. “I am pleased to have been able to help further recognize these outstanding Persons of the Year.”
