State Representative Rex Damschroder (R-Fremont) participated in the Council of State Governments (CSG) Transportation Police Academy and DC Fly-In in Washington D.C. this week.
Damschroder joined several transportation policy leaders from around the nation to meet with officials at the U.S. Department of Transportation and members of Ohio’s congressional delegation. In April, Damschroder was named Chairman of the House Transportation, Public Safety, and Homeland Security committee.
“It was a pleasure to meet other transportation leaders from across the country and discuss ideas that impact transportation and infrastructure issues on the federal and state levels,” Damschroder stated. “As Chairman of the House Transportation committee in Ohio, it is very important to keep an open dialogue with legislators in other parts of the nation and officials on the federal level.”
