In response to the decision by Rep. Dennis Murray (D-Sandusky) and Sen. Mike Skindell (D-Lakewood) to re-file their lawsuit against JobsOhio, State Representative John Adams (R-Sidney) released the following statement:
“Ohio’s economic security is directly related to how we compete on a state-to-state level, and JobsOhio gives us the ability to be viable in the 21st century economy. At a time when Ohio’s Republican leadership is pursuing innovative measures to make Ohio more competitive and effectively creating jobs, it seems that Ohio’s Democrats only want to be a blockade against economic growth. This frivolous taxpayer-funded lawsuit against JobsOhio is yet another blatant attempt to distort Ohio’s job-creation potential and stand in the way of our recovery.
“It’s especially interesting that this lawsuit against JobsOhio is ending up in the courtroom of a Ted Strickland-appointed judge. Representative Murray and Senator Skindell have consistently and blindly followed the agenda of Ted Strickland that destroyed nearly 171,000 jobs during the previous General Assembly and helped to cause an $8 billion budget deficit. I think it’s time for the Democrats in the White House and the Ohio Statehouse to quit trying to obstruct job creation with their partisan games and start acting like the leaders they were elected to be.”
