State Representative Bob Peterson (R-Sabina) today announced that the Ohio Commission on Minority Health has awarded a two-year Lupus Grant to the Ross County Community Action Commission’s Learning to Live, Cope and Survive with Lupus project.
The $14,000 grant will provide patient, public and professional education on lupus. Additionally, Lupus Grants can be used to encourage and develop local centers on lupus information gathering and screening, and provide outreach to women of color.
The Ross County Community Action Commission strives to work within the local community to reduce poverty and revitalize low-income families by helping them to utilize the resources that are available to them.
