Speaker of the Ohio House William G. Batchelder (R-Medina) has announced that the House Republican Caucus unanimously selected Brian D. Hill of Zanesville to serve as state representative of the 94th Ohio House District. He was sworn in during today’s House session.
“I’m very pleased that Representative Hill has joined our caucus and will have the opportunity to bring forth his knowledge and experience with agriculture, one of Ohio’s top industries,” Speaker Batchelder said. “I believe that he will be a faithful, dedicated representative to the people of Coshocton and Muskingum counties.”
“Representative Hill’s work within his community and his knowledge of the district, as well as his experience with agriculture, will serve him well as representative of the 94th District,” said Speaker Pro Tempore Lou Blessing (R-Cincinnati), who served as chairman of the screening panel. “I look forward to working with him as we continue our work in building a better future for Ohio.”
Hill is a lifelong resident of Muskingum County who served as a county commissioner since 2005. He has an extensive background in agriculture, currently working as the co-owner and manager of a family farm business that he operates with his father. He also previously worked as a sales representative for ADM Alliance Nutrition, where he served more than 100 farm customers in six Ohio counties and advised customers on various livestock issues.
He is a member of the Muskingum County Farm Bureau, the Muskingum County Cattleman’s Association, and the Abbot Home Board of Directors. He is also the vice chairman of the Muskingum County Republican Club Executive Committee and a member of the Muskingum County Republican Policy Committee.
