State Representative Cheryl Grossman (R-Grove City) presented a House resolution to Teddy Osborn, an 18-year-old senior at Columbus Bishop Ready High School, during a session of the Ohio House of Representatives. Osborn is the first Boy Scout in the history of the Boy Scouts of America to earn every merit badge available today—currently 129 in total.
“Teddy Osborn is an outstanding example of a dedicated young man our youth can aspire to emulate. He has demonstrated the ability to set important goals and succeed. Teddy and his family are a wonderful example of what makes Ohio a special place to call home,” said Rep. Grossman.
Osborn is a member of Troop 200 chartered out of Northwest United Methodist Church in Columbus. He spent 12 years in the Boy Scouts and earned the maximum number of available merit badges during his time in the organization.
