State Representative Anne Gonzales (R-Westerville) recently announced the passage of House Concurrent Resolution 56, a resolution designating November 2012 as Personal Health Care Month.

Personal Health Care Month is designated to bring awareness to the benefits of preventative measures and early diagnosis, as well as encourage a thorough understanding of an individual’s family history in order to reduce and or shorten the length and severity of illnesses. Heightened awareness of personal healthcare issues will, in turn, minimize future healthcare costs.

“I was pleased to work with my colleague, Senator Patton; the Cleveland Clinic; and OSU Medical Center to highlight the growing importance of personalized healthcare in the 21st century,” said Representative Gonzales.

House Concurrent Resolution 56 passed unanimously in the House.
