Pension Trustee Advisors and KMS Actuaries recently released to the Ohio Retirement Study Council its analysis of the 30-year funding plans that were approved by Ohio’s five retirement systems.

On the release of the study, State Representative Lynn Wachtmann (R-Napoleon) has offered the following statement:

“The analysis of Ohio’s retirement systems is an in-depth and extensive report that will be very helpful to the Ohio House in the coming months. The details of the study confirm that the House was wise to wait until the report was released to move forward with legislation to address the needs of Ohio’s pension systems. We have learned that we have much work to do over the summer on this issue and will work with all parties to reach a consensus. The Senate version made strong headway but there is still much more work to be done in the Ohio House. Our goal has consistently been a long-term solvency and strength of the state retirement system as well as health care for retirees.”
