State Representative Christina Hagan (R- Alliance) recently met with the Boy Scouts of America Troop 271 of Marlboro Township to speak about the importance of constitutional rights.
The discussion focused on the necessity of being knowledgeable about one’s constitutional rights, then branched off to include topics such as the value of education and encouraging young people to make public service a priority at any age.
“I always enjoy the opportunity to speak with youth about citizenship in our state and our nation,” said Hagan. “Civic engagement is a value that should be cultivated from a young age, and the Boy Scouts program has turned out some of our nation’s greatest leaders.”
