State Representative Christina M. Hagan (R-Alliance) yesterday honored the Biery Cheese Company with a resolution on the floor of the Ohio House of Representatives.

Biery Cheese was named “Best of Class” in the pasteurized process cheeses class at the 2011 United States Champion Cheese Contest. Attending session to receive the resolution were Jeff Fairless, president of Biery Cheese, and Ben Biery, CEO.

“Biery Cheese deserves to be honored for both its dedication to quality products as well as its important economic and charitable involvement in our community,” Representative Hagan said. “It is an excellent example of a business growing from generation to generation, and I’m proud to have presented the company with a resolution on behalf of the Ohio House.”

Biery Cheese is located in Louisville and is a fourth-generation company. In the past three years its facility has doubled in size, and it has doubled its sales. Today, it employs more than 400 team members in the Stark County area.
