State Representative Kristina Daley Roegner (R-Hudson) presented a House commendation to Colton Foster of Munroe Falls for earning the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.

Foster, a senior at Archbishop Hoban High School, earned the Eagle rank in November 2011 after planning, designing and executing the building of a bocce ball court for the city of Munroe Falls. The project spanned three weeks, totaling more than 580 man-hours of labor. Foster led more than 50 family, friends and fellow Scouts in the project.

“It was a pleasure presenting Colton Foster with a commendation for earning the rank of Eagle Scout,” said Rep. Roegner. “Colton is an outstanding young man who is dedicated to serving his community. His time and energy given to the city of Munroe Falls is a testament to his character, and I look forward to seeing great things from him in the future.”

At Archbishop Hoban, Foster has made the Honor Roll every quarter while taking numerous honors and advanced placement courses. He has worked at Cub Scout summer camps in various leadership capacities and also volunteered as a youth counselor at the Akron YMCA Rotary Camp, where he provided friendship and supervision to special needs children. He is a three-year varsity swim team member and has volunteered at the Interfaith Hospitality Network.
