State Representative Mike Duffey (R-Worthington) welcomed Pastor Jason Williams to the Ohio House of Representatives Thursday to lead the opening prayer during session.

Pastor Williams is a youth pastor at High Street Baptist Church, where he has worked for three years. He hosts weekly Bible studies for public school teens in their local schools and spends his weekends reaching out to inner city teens through sports and activities. He is a spiritual advisor to many of those teens to assist them with life’s difficult decisions and also writes articles for a local Christian newspaper.

“I was pleased to welcome Pastor Williams to the Ohio House of Representatives today,” said Representative Duffey.  “He is a man who puts his community first and has made a profound impact on the lives of countless teens who face unimaginable challenges in their daily lives. He truly is a role model for how each and every one of us can live our lives to selflessly benefit others.”
