State Representative Mike Duffey (R-Worthington) today welcomed Pastor Cyndy Garn to the Ohio House of Representatives to offer the opening prayer before session.
Pastor Garn is the lead pastor at Worthington United Methodist Church, the church that Rep. Duffey attends. For seven years of her ministry, she served as a direct superintendent working with pastors and congregations in five counties in central Ohio.
Having served on a number of non-profit boards, Pastor Garn currently chairs the Charitable Pharmacy of Central Ohio Board and is a member of the UMCH Family Services Board. In addition, her community involvement relates to health care, continuum of care for elders, advocacy for marginalized persons, and theological education.
“I’m glad that Pastor Garn was able to come to the Statehouse and lead the Ohio House in prayer today,” said Representative Duffey. “She is a great role model within the church as well as within the Worthington community.”
