State Representative Andy Brenner (R-Powell) today presented a House commendation to the St. Francis DeSales High School girls’ soccer team for winning the state championship in November. The team bested Toledo’s St. Ursula Academy in a 2-0 victory at Crew Stadium.

“I am very proud of the team for bringing the championship title home and making our community proud,” Brenner said. “I feel very fortunate to represent such talented athletes in the Statehouse. As leaders both on and off the field, I am confident these girls will continue to make us proud and be successful in the future.”

The victory marks the Stallions’ first state championship in 13 years. Rep. Brenner awarded the commendation to the team at the high school.
