State Representative Mike Henne (R-Clayton) today announced that the State Controlling Board approved the release of $100,000 to the City of Brookville for costs associated with the completion of public roadwork improvements in support of Provimi North America, Inc.’s relocation project in Brookville.

As a result of the project and state assistance provided, Provimi will create 10 new, full-time jobs with average hourly wages of $45.30. The State of Ohio has been in competition with the State of Indiana for the Provimi’s proposed expansion project.

"This is how it can work when state and local governments work together and bring quality jobs to Ohio," Henne said.

The City of Brookville will construct a new roadway that will include the installation of new water, sanitary sewer, and storm lines. This new roadway will create an ingress and egress for the new parking lot that will be constructed just north of the new expansion building.

The road improvements will run east to west between Collective Way and Arlington Road in the North Brook Industrial Park.
