COLUMBUS—State Representative Barbara Sears (R-Monclova Township) was today elected by the House Republican Caucus to serve as Assistant Majority Floor Leader during the 129th General Assembly.

“It is truly an honor to return as state representative for the 46th House District and equally humbling to be selected to serve as Assistant Majority Floor Leader by my House colleagues,” said Sears. “I am eager to serve in this new role. Today marks a pivot for Ohio to a more prosperous future that will be ensured by the hard-working members of the 129th General Assembly.”

Sears will serve in majority leadership alongside Speaker William G. Batchelder (R-Medina), Speaker Pro Tempore Louis W. Blessing, Jr. (R-Cincinnati), Majority Whip John Adams (R-Sidney), Assistant Majority Whip Cheryl Grossman (R-Grove City), and Majority Floor Leader Matt Huffman (R-Lima).
